I've got a Pure Energy 4500 reg (one of the new rebuildable ones) with a 68/4500 bottle (bought the reg and bottle separately) and it works great on my X-Valved mag.
PMI Pure Energy tank good for RT Pro?

I have a 68/4500 PMi PE tnak and it's probably the best pat on my gun. it's so sweet, i haven't been able to get a full fill yet though, the field i go to only fills to 3000. but otherwise PMI's are sweet."dude, keep going straight, where's my dope?"- CarterComment

Hey I have a two 68/3K tanks one steel, the other carbon fiber. Well the steel tank was sold without a TC # (required for use in Canada) and the tank was aready 3 years old, and they replaced it with a new Carbon fiber one for free!.Comment

I have a PMI 5000psi and it pales in comparison to an adjustable tank (specifically a flatline) on the RT. It's output pressure isn't enough to make the RT reactive so it's basically like shooting a classic mag with it on there. It works good on my classic mag but sucks on the RT. If you want my advice get rid of the preset and buy an adjustable, I guarantee you will have a big smile on your face afterwards.Comment

yeah I everyone I know has had bad expiriences with Pure Energy. Mine spontaneoulsy blew out all of it's inerds, I have no idea how. My other friend's leaks out of the gauge, another guy I know bought one and it did the same thing as mine, and this guy I was at a tourney with his had something bouncing around inside the tank so he called the company and they said "well is it leaking" "no" "then I'm sure it's nothing"......yeah, and mine had no consistency for crap (before it sef-destructed, when I would get under 1000 my balls would start dropping at like 20ft. SEND IT BACK! I just bought a $70 crossfire and it shoots A LOT better.Comment

odd... my pmi tanks have made RT mags and RT-Pro's very reactive, easy to get into runaway. It was the crossfire and centerflag tanks that were bad.
I also did some testing with my cocker.
with the handheld chrono I got +-2 with my pmi tank, it jumped to 4 when I ran out of air and switched to the centerflag. Tried a crossfire and it had horrible dropoff, couldn't shoot a string of 10 shots without the last few balls falling 20-30 feet in front of me.My Feedback

That is odd, I however still would recommend an adjustable so you don't run into the not enough/too much dilemma.Comment

Adjustables scare me... especially apoc's.
I traded my 45/45 apoc straight for an 88/3295
That thing scared me... blew up many many pieces of macro and liked to creap (even after being sent in)
But they are GREAT for filling other tanks. Get some SS line, a 7/16" wrench, some teflon tape, and a SS quick disconnect, hook the output up to the hose than the quick disconnect to the preset tank you want filled, turn on the tank and slowly turn up the pressure in the apoc. should go up to around 1500, and if the tanks are the same size it'll divide the pressue between the tanks evenly. And than you turn off the apoc (better if you have a slidecheck but quick disconnect will work) you just unscrew the SS hose slowly, and it'll leak out the air slow and than eventually it'll stop. Basically its a way to share air without a fill station. But don't try this unless you are willing to. I was scared ****less when I was about to do this. thought it'd blow up. but we were desperate to try out my cocker. (The thing was the apoc would creep, but once we filled tanks it would be fine. On a gun it would creep and overpressurize)
I can't believe I wasted my 1000th post on this... DOH

as long as you get a carbon fibre tank you will be happy. it feels like i have a sack of potatos attached to my gun with that steel tank.Comment
