Is there something wrong with my tank?

I had my tank filled up the other day, in this town they can only fill to ~3000psi. I took it home, let the tank cool down over night etc... Then today I screwed it into my gun for the first time ever, the psi immediately dropped from the 2800psi, since it cooled down and stuff to 2600psi. Is there something wrong with my tank? or my gauge?

    Its a 3A 71ci 4500psi nitro tank.

oh with the "2600psi" in the tank, how many shots should I approximately be able to shoot?

no all n2 tanks will lose their pressure i dont know why it went fro 2800 to 2600 maybe you just read the gauge wrong but what kind of gun are you shooting with that tank

Whenever my friends and I fill up our Compressed air tanks ( ACI BULLDOG 2 and a Pure Energy) that once they fill to 3000 they drop to like 2800psi.

I am not worried to much about the dropping of pressure from 3000 to 2800psi I think that most likely it is just the tank and the air dropping in temp and giving a little bit less pressure. I am concerned about the dropping from 2800 to 2600psi. I am using a MiniMag set up as my signature says. I really don't think what gun I am using it on is relevant because the pressure drops as soon as the tank is fully screwed in. I do not shoot a single shot. All I do is screw it in and it drops from 2800 to 2600 psi. Unless my gauge "picture" just slipped so really I still have 2800psi in it.

Oh, by the way, is it rare or common for that "picture" to slip.

It may be the volume of the air lines plus the stabilizer and the mag valve. When all this area is filled from the bottle, the total psi reading will be lower than the initial bottle reading.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

the bottle mini gauges are not the most accurate things in the world.
            sigs are overrated.
