    68 v.s. Classic

Hi, im new to mags, i just got my first one, its a 68. And i was under the impression that the classic and the 68 were the same gun, but my friend had a paintball magazine that we were looking at in science class. And when i turned to the AGD page to show him my (soon to be at the time) new mag, the 68 cost $200 more than the classic. Could it be that this retarded magazine was charging $200 for a stock barrel and a air system? Or is there a difference between the 68 and the classic?

I'm not sure if it still is this way, but it used to be that the '68' was sold with a barrel, air lines, and a bottomline ASA. The 'Classic' was just the gun, with no barrel or ASA. There was a price difference. Also if the gun you were looking at was Power Feed, and the 'Classic' you were looking at was Standard Feed, that would result in more of a price difference.

Functionally, they are the same gun though.

also I believe that the 68 comes with more stars on the valve, i think 3 stars and the classic is only 1 star.

the 68 and the classic are the same gun.

        This is how it works.

        Classic
        Minimag
        Micromag
        RT
        RT Pro
        Emag
        Xmag

The classic mag sometimes came with the fixin's (air adapter and air lines, barrel) sometimes not.

And for the stars, classics got 1 star, mini got 3 or 4 I think. RT and up are pretty much starless, but have an equiv. of 2 if my info is correct.

Sometimes the classic before the mag is used to refer to a standard feed body as opposed to a powerfeed. Also sometimes depending on who you order your mag through they come with different add ons and at different prices.
