I'm not sure about all tanks, but on some (ACI) this is a bad idea.. I'd stay away from messing with the reg...

Its a good idea to check with the tank manufacturer (sp?) first but it is okay on some tanks. For example, a feature on the AirAmerica Apoc. is that you can switch the fill nipple with the High Pressure guage and you can switch the output with the Low Pressure guage. What type of tank do you have?
