    pc board in emag question

    HI,
I was wondering what the differences in software are. When I turn my emag on it says "agd 1.35". I was wondering if this would need some sort of reprogramming if I were to want to install the ACE. Also on the topic of the ACE, does anyone have pics of the bottom of their xmag or emag with ACE installed? I'm going to make my own body, but am not sure exactly how the ACE goes into the body and all. Thanks

From what i understand, it is next to impossible to put ACE in your Emag, with out extensive milling and lots of electronics stuff...

As i said, i dont know for sure, so dont quote me on it

Good luck on that project, id love to see pics if you get it completed, you could probably market them if you mass produced ehhehe

      Hey,
Yeah, I am aware of the extensive milling that will be needed. I am just curious as to if the ACE board (at the airgun store) is compatable with the board I have. If I can't put it in there, oh well, i've got lvl x (which works better than any other ACE I have used) IMO. As far as the body goes, I am going to start drawing it up here, but I am so used to autocad right now (because of school) that I am losing touch with mastercam. it will be back soon. As far as production......that's another story. From the sound of what Tom K. posted about the x-mag bodies, 2600 passes is quite a lot and while I dont think mine will be as intricate (or have interchangable breech system), but will still be quite time consuming and not to mention figuring out all of the dimensions as far as where the sear pin goes and all the dimensions and whatnot (now if someone wants to hook me up with a drawing with dimensions of (what would be) the normal stock rail, that would be great.... ). I have to go help someone with their car shocks. Thanks for any input\pics and whatnot.

The only way to put an eye in an E-Mag is to put it in the PF plug so it looks to see if a ball is next to it. If there isn't one at the PF plug, then there isn't one in the breech. Any other way and you'd have to drill all of your barrels for the eye. Also, the standard body/rail system really wouldn't support an ACE board without a good amount of modification.

The 1.35 software is the older software (1.37 is the newer software), but neither support ACE.

You need the 2.X software to support ACE. There's numerous 2.X software versions, so that's why I put the X there.

          Hey,
So is there any difference between the 1.35 and the 1.37 board? As far as the ACE goes, the main reason I would put it in there is so that I could pretty much jsut say I got an xmag. Anywho, I probably wont be putting it in there (unless I decide to make a 90 frame for my emag....) because I dont want to totally mangle my trigger frame and I dont exactly have any way of acquiring dimensions of where it exactly needs to go. Hopefully I have a rough drawing of my body\rail combo either really late tonight or sometime in this next week.
