ya, just stuff the hose in the hole, it will work
no really, you were supposed to take your fittings off the old valve before you sent it in and then put them back on the new valve when it came.

yeah... did u use locktite??? if you did then take it off b4 it dries and use teflon
why? if blue loctite is used that is a FAR superior product to use to seal fittings. teflon tape was NEVER intended to be used as a high pressure sealer. plus it shears off and will get into your valve. causes more problems than it solves.
and if blue was used. you can ussually gas up in about 10 mintues after using it. it doesn't "dry" it is actually a chemical reaction with the metal that seals it. and that doesn't take long.

Blue locktite is still a thread locker and will make things difficult to remove later on and can cause damage to the threads.
Yes, Teflon tape isn't the ideal solution, but will work in a pinch when no suitable (Loctite Pneumatic Sealant- not thread locker number 545) product can be found.

I'd like to see one person that said "blue 272 loctite" damaged threads if it is used correctly. it is designed to be removed easily with hand tools. if you use red loctite all bets are off, but blue is safe.Originally posted by Potatoboy
