Origianl RT reg seat holder Question

    Hey all,

When you take the back half of the valve assembly off and your looking at the valve pin and the reg seat holder, should the small o-ring that rides the pin be IN the cross-cut brass reg seat or in the black back part that holds the reg piston assembly?

seems a bit confusing. the o-ring fits the reg seat and the cut out in the back half of the valve.

    any help would be appreciated.

Either or will work. It's just there to keep air from getting to the piston before it goes to the airchamber.

If it makes you even more happy, I stick the o-ring in the black half of the valve. Don't know why, that's just how I do it...

Yep, in the cut away pic thats where the o-ring belongs.

I read the Rt tear-down post in this forum and it said to put the o-ring into the reg seat holder, that's why I was confused.

          Thanks Again
