Take the rail off, from the bottom of the rail smack it with a hammer, few smacks and it should pop right out.

I lost my twist lock... after it flew out it rolled on the floor of my garage... ah well, who needs it. :)

I was wailing on mine last night, with no luck. Tonight I'm going to try to ease it out with some c-clamps and a chunk of metal. Gonna put the bar of metal across the pin, on the inside, with a c-clamp on each side. slowly raising tention on the c-clamps to push the pin down enough to not get in the way of the ULE body.

dude don't do that!

I used a brick and an old t shirt(as not to scratch rail), and it popped right out.once it moves a littel bit you can twist it out with pliers. it's just pressed in there through the top.

Wait let's clear this up. The original poster asked if you pound it from the top of the rail out the bottom. The first reply then said Yep, you just pound it out FROM the bottom. Well, which is it?
