I was under the impression that the trigger rod was designed to be set up so that a it was only a playing cards with away from the trigger, at least that how mine came.

It is, but when I bought my retro valve and benchmark frame I had to move up the pin, because of the long benchmark trigger pull and along with that I decided to move up the trigger a bit more and used like that for about three years until I got the Intelliframe.

Just leave your trigger rod the way it is... If I end up having problems I don't want anyone else going through the same, because they did what I did... Plus, I know how to take work on my equipment when crap hits the fan!

        Hee Hee.

The reason you shouldn't shorten the trigger rod is simply because it does nothing.

The effects of an adjusted trigger rod are typically WAY over exagerated.

The ONLY adjustment that has any effect is if you adjust it so long that when it's at rest there is no play between the rod and the trigger.Besides that it has no other effect, good or bad.

If there is a lot of play between the rod and the trigger, you SHOULD adjust it so that there is no more than 1/16" play for best performance.

Where did you get the shorter on/off pin, I want to try one in my ReTro Valve.
They are for sale in the AGD store.'Careful, shorter will add reactivity,to short will add full auto.

Hmm,looks like they don't have the option listed in the new store. You just have to call and ask then.

          They are:

          .765
          .750
          .725
          .712

          Stock should be .750

You can try the .725 but that's a pretty good jump, they may have sizes available in between there,I'm not sure.

Or,you may want to get another .750 and shorten it yourself(very light sanding w/ emery cloth or similar)Go very little at a time and then try it.At $8 each,it's not a major investment.

Keep in mind, you will be doing something that AGD and many others will consider a no no,so do so at your own risk.
