    Help! Raptor Rex Question...

I just bought a proconnect and a raptor rex tank (88/4500) and I need to know how to hook it up to my mag (classic 68 LX w/ cp mini gasthru).
Can I just fit the proconnect on the output of the tank, or do I have to put it on the valve of the gun?

Also, I tried to get the tank filled today at a local store and the microgauge (output) that was on it popped off (and broke) from pressure. They put another gauge on it (unfortunatly it goes from 0 - 5000 psi, not exactly the range I want for an output gauge ) and couldn't fill the tank, I dunno if they were incompetent or if the tank is screwed. Please help me...

The raptor rex guage is for the high side, not the output. There is no output pressure guage.

As far as the proconnect, I like my setup with a 45 degree nipple into the valve, then the male side of the proconnect, then a stainless hose to a 90 on the tank.

      Good luck

The output gauge was added on (it was a dye micro gauge) to the out side of the tank. I have a macro line setup and a gas thru grip, what can I do without SS hoses? And can I install the proconnect on the raptor's reg or should I install it onto the valve? I would rather it be on the reg if possible...

Here is the question. Are you going to remote the tank or are you going to mount it on the gun with a cradle? If you are going to remote, but a remote, put the proconnect on the end of the Connect by taking off the Quick Release and replacing that with the Proconnect. I'll explain further if thats what you are doing. If not, put the Pro connect on the SS line you are running from your Gas Through to the Valve on your tank. I use a remote line on my 114 3k Raptor.

the proconnect is not bi-directional. you HAVE to put it so the nipple is toward the AIR valve on the mag. (preferably right next to the inlet hole on the mag or on the foregrip inlet) if you put it on the other way (so that the proconnect is on the tank reg) you will hold in air from the mag and you will vent the tank (kinda not what you want to do)

well, then if I put it so the nipple is toward the AIR valve, and just have the setup lower (Ie/ on the reg) it should work then, right? As long as I have it on the right way...

yes it will work as long as you have it on the right way, but the nipple is male and the connector is female. you would have to use two gender changers to put it on down by the tank reg.
