    Problem with my Automag Classic

When i hook up my air to my gun, it shoots fine for a little while (like 50 shots or so) and then it stops like cocking all the way, so there is not trigger pull, not like its short stroking, but like nothing happens... and i think its because the valve slides back, and theres a big space in between the valve and the body.
What can i do to fix it, i can't tighten the screw that holds it any more (tightened it till i thought it was gonna snap) and i don't know what else to do.

    thanx

first, do you have the rail bushing in there? it is a little metal bushing that goes in to the rail and the gripframe to hold it in alignment. if that is not there, you can have all kinds of problems.

next, how much space is between the body and the valve? about 1/32-1/16" is normal, it is more than this?

when the gun stops shooting normal, how do you fix it? does it leak? do you have to push the bolt back into postion with a squeegie or anything?

      its....

      a pretty big space...
i have the piece that makes it slide in right, but it slides back out like far enough that i can easily fit the allen wrench head into the gap (the allen wrench i use to adjust the velocity)... i fix it buy taking off the air, and loosening the bolt that holds on the valve, pushing it back up, and then retightening it.
and then it shoots fine for another 50 shots or so... and then it moves back again...
i use the .215 power tube spacer, and if i go any bigger it leaks out the barrel, so i don't think its the spacer.

are the holes on the rail or the gripframe elongated at all? kinda oval shaped? the hole in the for the fieldstrip in good shape? it sounds like the valve is pushing back way too far. the gap you described does sound like too much........

I would look at the rail and the gripframe though. it sounds like they are not holding the valve in alignment anymore.
