Pump Rail on regular mag?

I'm pretty sure I've seen this question addressed here before, but I did a few searches and can not find it. Can I use a pump rail on a regular mag? I have all the parts to build another mag except for the rail, So i was just wondering if I could buy a pump rail and have it still work fine. Thanks.

the only difference between a pump rail and a regular rail is that the pump rail has some slots cut out of it to fit the pump arm. so, yes it should fit.

I have a Pump rail on one of my mags, They work the same.
The only diffrence is a thin grove cut into the rail, You may want to put a dab of silicone on the front of the rail to keep paint from getting into the slot, it wont cause iny problems but it shure makes a mess.
