    Bolt sticking

While doing some last minute tweaks before a Big Game this weekend, I noticed when using my J&J Ceramic that the bolt would stick in the barrel, causing air to leak down the barrel. I determined the cause to be the new nubbin I had just installed. I checked the nubbin and by moving it a bit towards the back of the barrel (ie towards the bolt) I was able to correct the problem. Was this a random problem or a symptom of a larger issue that might come back to bite me later? There was no problem at all with my other barrel, an AA. Just curious, thanks.

I might be that the JJ is a bit smaller bore than the AA. If it is newer they have gotten smaller lately. Also it might have been that you tightened the rear frame screw a little more. I find that if this is tightened real tight with a allen wrench my bolt will stick every so often and when I loosen it very little it never happens. Just a guess if it ever happens again. Good luck.
