    Air Problems with my E-Mag

I've now used my E-mag a total of three times, and I'm having a air issue with it. The first time I used it it worked perfectly, and the next two times I had this issue. It is important to note that the two times I had problems it was raining the entire day.

It seems that whenever I stop shooting for any period of time (enough to reload) something happens with the Nitro seal and I need to unscrew and rescrew the tank into the feed to re-establish the seal. If I don't do this when I pull the trigger nothing at all happens, no air gets into the gun. I hear no leeks of any kind nor do I see anything wrong.

Is it the rain that causes the problem? Do I need to do something to maintain it that I am unaware of? Or is it possible that I need to replace a part?

    Thanx
Or better yet, why don't you kill yourself. No, really, die. Drop dead, don't leave a note, in fact burn your house while your little ego is stuck in a bench vice so that you'll also incenerate yourslef and everything you own with it. Because that's all you're worth. You're not even wirh thte time it'll take for the house to burn down, so just kill yourself. You're a waste of space. You are nothing, you always will be nothing. Don't leave a note, you're not worth the ink. - Tyger

Might want to try a few drops of oil in the ASA, but that shouldn't account for the complete gas-stoppage.

A while ago, I had a 12oz CO2 tank that would not fuction corrently when all the way screwed in. It seems that the pin valve would open up as I was screwing it, then close again after I passed a certain point. To cheap-fix this, I merely added a normal tank oring into the ASA before putting the tank on, to make sure that it didn't fully meet on. Might want to try this, as it is completely reversable and won't hurt.

Note though, that that C02 valve was on its way out... three or so months later it simply stopped fuctioning alltogether and I made it in to a LAN-soda holder =)

    best of luck!

I think BlackVCG asked about LX because it sounds a little like bolt stick? I was having problems a while back on a humid day so I'm interested to see what he has to say

There are several ways to beat this problem in the short term. It will fix itself once the o-ring is properly broken in.

Use one or more of the following ideas:

            1) Use more oil more often. Make sure you dry fire the excess out before you put the barrel back on.

            2) Increase one carrier size. If you don't experience any leaks, use this new setup. If it leaks go back to the original carrier that didn't leak.

            3) Which spring are you using? If you are using the middle spring, drop down to the short spring and make the necessary adjustments to get the gun to chrono properly. The level 10 will still prevent chops. Use it like this for around 10000 to 15000 rounds. This will break the o-ring in nicely. All the while you won't have to worry about the bolt sticking when it sits for a while. Once the o-ring is broken in, you can move back up to the longer spring and you will probably not have the sticking problem anymore.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Thanx for all the help guys. I oiled the hell out of my gun the week after i played, leading up to this weeks games, and the gun is working very well now. I had a little problem in the beginning and but now I am shooting well. The O-ring i hvae on is brand new, so i guess its breaking in by now. All and all it was a very satisfying day of whacking folks.
