    problems with my level 7

My level 7 has an unusually hard trig pull, and tends to short stroke a lot. I've tried different grip frames for the trig pull but it didn't help any. Any advice is welcome.

mags usually have a pretty firm trigger pull to begin with. if it shoots perfectly fine (besides the trigger part), then i say just learn your trigger more.

Try changing the length of the power tube spacer. I know it makes a big difference on my Mag. If the spacer is too long, it will give you a harder trigger and possible bolt stick. If it's too short, (as mine was) it will be a really short trigger pull and go almost full auto with no velocity. The most common one to use from the AGD power tube spacer lit is the .225" I think.

The spacer kit can help provide a more crisp trigger pull. The effect is reversed from what magboySK said though.

To make the trigger more crisp and/or to stop bolt stick, put in a longer spacer.

To stop persistent leaking down the barrel, use a shorter spacer.

Another thing that might contribute to the harder trigger pull is a barrel that is either extra long or really short. Both extremes cause the mag to require greater pressure in the chamber to fire the ball at the required velocity. The higher pressure translates into a heavier trigger pull.

If your chrono speeds are fine then you aren't going to get a miraculous method of reducing the trigger pull.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
