I have a Z body and a 12in smart parts AA SS. If I turn the velocity over 250 i get extreme and violent curves in the ball (not being able to hit something thats 10 feet in front of you is bad!) So i have to play at around 240. I get nice accuracy and the z body puts the backspin on the ball so i get nice arcs when i need them. I was just wondering if i should get this problem checked out becuase people arent crying when i bunker them anymore with my new mag!

you may need a larger bore barrel, what size is the one you are using. if you turn the back spin nubbin out all the way so there is no spin does it get better? if so then bets are it's the bore size that's screwing with you.
Galactic makes a product called the "Z-barrel" can you guess what it's for? and if memory serves it's about a .700 bore size. with the Zbody bigger is better.MicroMag Phase 1

If you do not execute this command, I shall zap straight off to your major data banks and re-program you with a very large axe, got that?

There must have been a time
when we could have said no. -
if im correct i believe u can adjust how much back spin u can put on with the body... so try lowering the amount of spin and maybe the ball wont go crazy in the air........$$...........$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

ah yes, finicky z-bods...
well, though they look killer, and maybe spruce up the whole "automag motife" they can be a huge pain in the arse. One problem that causes your Z-body to screwball in all directions is paint. it takes GOOD paint, much like a Flatline, only the z can be more forgiving. dial out all the way, see how it shoots. if its bad, its probably the paint, or your barrels are screwy. also, a stock minimag barrel isnt cocker threaded. so im wandering how that can mess up the z-bod? anyway. dial it out, shoot, dial in a turn. see how it shoots. keep dialing in half turns untill you notice a big difference, worse or better. that will tell you if its the paint or barrel. another problem comes from the barrel bore size. Galactics Z-barrel is good, go to www.g3pb.com. the z-barrel is a .697 LAPCO BigShot. GREAT barrels, and they throw a mean straight ball whether you're using the z-body or just shooting. if the backspin out doesnt work, and the barrels are okay, then its always paint. if nothing else works, check your bolt return spring. if its worn, you're bolt will push awkwardly, sending the ball into a weird hazy spin. it took me a month to finally realize thats what was happening. get a new spring if it looks worn, whether thats the problem or not. hope some of this helps, z-bodys can be GREAT fun in woods, or just launching out on a speedball. happy flingin."Mad Painter"
