Using a flatline regulator on another tank

I have a preset tank - output pressure at 850 PSI or so - and I am trying to get it better regulated (its a PMI regulator and I dont think its that good) - my question is this, can I put a flatline regulator on a 88/4500 carbon fiber tank - and if I can where can I get just the regulator?

Yes, it will work. However, the reg itself is like $250+. You're better off selling the tank you have and buying new.
