    How to read the SERIAL#

I am sure this is somewhere on this site, but I am still going to ask.

Does anyone know how to read the serial#, so I can figure out what the year of the gun is.
    Thanks

The serial number does not indicate anything about the gun like a VIN number does on a vehicle. The serial number is just its production number and you can only get a general ballpark idea of how old it is by the serial number. If you give me the serial number, I can make an estimate, but even AGD doesn't have records that show the date of when that valve was built.

The serial number is really just for warranty purposes and identifying the gun if it's stolen or lost.

I don't remember the whole thing but the first 4 digits are EM01. If this helps at all that would be great. If not thanks for replying anyways

CF40,000 is probably about 3 years old or so.

EM01 can be anywhere from 1.5 years old to newer.

            What about CF136XX?

I know its pretty old, it still has a Screw-In Powertube, not welded on. I'm just wondering if it was made before the Star system, or if there is a way to tell that. (It doesn't have any stars on the valve.) If it was, what is AGD's policy on the old ones?
Hey Zero, how much did that Chipley cost ya?

Okay, I'm not going to sit here and give ages on all of your guy's serial numbers. To be honest, I'm just giving ballpark ideas because of ones that I know of their general production date and then base my guess off of that.

I will say that CF000274 is probably at least from 91-92. Does it have a removable PT? It should if it hasn't been updated.
