I'm thinking of bidding on a Minimag, but it's a left hand feeder. I prefer right. Thanks.

Thanks for such a quick reply! I figured it was probably a clueless-newbie questiion, but I checked the posts on this forum back quite a bit, and the FAQ on Airgun Designs web site with no luck. Thanks again.

At least you made the effort of searching. Some people come here and ask a question that was answered in the thread above theirs.
But yes, you can put any mainbody you want on a minimag. Emag/RTPro bodies, other minimag bodies, classic bodies, or the ULE bodies. I'd check out the ULE bodies, if you haven't already. They're all aluminum, so they're lighter than stainless and they come in colors.
Also, the best way to find a good Deal on bodies is to watch the classified section of the forums.

Wait a sec ... is this a stock Mini-Mag? Because if it is a stock PF (Power Feed) left, than it would include the reverse valve with the 4" quick-disconnect hose on the left side of the gun. If you switch to the PF right mainbody, the PF plug will now be on the left side of the gun, which interferes with the location of the quick-disconnect hose.

While you can mount most any body on the stock rail, this particular mod "might" require re-running some of the exterior hose assembly. I'll stress "might," your mileage will vary. You should e-mail the seller first and check which side of the valve has the hose fittings.

Also, you should check barrel threading on any new Mag bodies you buy as replacements. If this is your first Mag, you'll find bodies are now produced with traditional AutoMag twist-lock, Autococker threads, and others. Check the new body type first, otherwise you'll need new barrels or thread-adapters to go with it.

It's not that big of a deal, really. If the hose is in the way, just get a different length hose. Personally, I'd do that anyways. I chose to run mine directly to the valve from the tank. I don't run air through my vertical adapter. (I use like a 10.5" or 11" hose for that)
I've seen people run the standard hose with a reverse valve, though, so it is possible.

If its a minimag, 99% of the time, you'll get a powerfeed left or right. It's very rare that you get a vert-feed mini. Barrels made for powerfeed or classic mag bodies are interchangeable. The only time you have to distinguish is if you want center-feed twist-lock Like the minimag in my sig (first link ).

The quick disconnect *is* on the left hand side. So your assumptions are correct. However I'm going to try to use it the way it is. It would seem to me that having the hopper extending off the left hand side of the gun would conceal it better. When a hopper protrudes off the right hand side it's easier to see when a person leans out to fire. We play allot in the brush and forest, any litte edge......... :)Anyway I thought I would give it a try the way it is. And I'll keep your mainbody/barrel advice in mind. I should have the marker by Thursday. Thanks to all who posted.
