    help!

    I was having problems with my mag today - first time since i bought it. I was getting double feeds and breaks, and my level ten seems to be hitting the ball hard. Help me out...

    heres my setup

    68 classic mag
    omega rail
    BOA express barrel
    1 wire nubbin
    classic valve
    lx with 1 shim and 1.0 carrier
    114/4500 adjustable air america rex
    aci gas thru
    evo on top of a 9v warp with on off switch



    I am trying adding shims and the medium spring now... Ill edit it when I find out whats up. please help me. thnaks

    Could you have been short stroking the trigger and/or did you have a bad paint/barrel match?

      I was using a friends paint, so I didnt check it, I just put it in the gun and went. What is shortstroking? Also,what is the best nubbin to use, plastic or wire? thanks for the reply Chuck

      ps still trying springs shims and spacers

        Shortstroking is not pulling the trigger far enough to complete a shot. Short enough to move the bolt but not long enough to fire the ball that was already in there. If you did that and then pulled off a full shot the balls could be breaking each other in the barrel. Bad paint/barrel match could do the same but the more I think about it Level x should help that some. Old paint could be a problem to if it had alot of inconsistancies in size. I prefer plastic nubbins, the wire ones look to old school for me! You mentioned that you were still working on it. Is it not firing at all?

          I use wire nubbins, but I have some plastic ones that I'll try too. I'm sure I'm not short stroking, but it could be the paint. Would that have anything to do with double feeding? The mag is working, but I thought the bolt was hitting hard. Ill try to keep this posted. Thanks
