It is most likely the cup seal.

If it's a small leak, it's probably the cup seal. Other than the leak, was it shooting OK?

          Possible problems

          - Cup seal is worn out, not causing it to seal on the valve properly. Solution: Replace cup seal.

          - First Valve O-ring is worn, and it's just creeping by it and venting up through the bolt and down the barrel. Solution: replace the first valve O-ring (there's 2 of them, if you want to be paranoid you can replace both).

          - Valve itself has a nick or bur on it where the cup seal rests. Causing air to flow past the cupseal, despite it still being good. Solution: If it's a lot of damage there, completely replace the valve. If it's very tiny and can only be seen with an Eye Loupe, then just take it to some fine sandpaper and smooth it out.

With all the above - Cup Seal

and make sure you cock the marker before you screw on your air source - that will provide a better seal
