    leaking down barrel

i got an x-valve and its leaking down the barrel. when i pull the trigger it still leaks but not as much of a leak, its not leaking anywhere else like the side hole or the back. sometimes if i barely touch the trigger it stops, is this a shim leak or is it my on/off pin? or something else?

This is a level 10 leak.

To make sure- stick your finger in the breech when gassed up and wiggle the bolt around. If it changes tone, it's time to change the carrier.

Move down a half size on the carrier.

FYI- X-valves rarely come tuned. They require some hands on.

If the leak stops when you put pressure on the trigger, then it usually indicates that you need to remove a shim or two.

The carrier may be a bit loose as well as indicated by Dayspring.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
