That is not true for the standard AIR valve, it will work fine with CO2. It was actually designed at a time when CO2 was the only option.

The RT valve will only work with N2.

TKO's are nice, mine was the TKO before they called it the tko, i got the flatline 68/3000 nitro bundle. yes mags will work fine on co2, there will be a slight velocity fluctuation, but that is a general thing of all co2 guns. you might also want to check the classifieds here at AO, cause an automag is an automag, nothing really wears down or anything, they just get "broken in" and shoot better. the first upgrades i would suggest to get would be level 10 (especially since you might not learn the trigger yet, so this will prevent damage done to paint by short stroking), 2nd get an intelliframe, 3rd to go nitro.

look on eBay. A used mag is just as good or better than a new one, because mags wear exceptionally well (that is to say, not at all) and because mags have no resell value.

i got my mag at www.outdoorendeavors.com on a classafied page for $140 with level 10, new grips, macro line, good drop, DYE barrel, double trigger....all the goodies, you might want to try there, and for Co2, i would suggest getting an expansion chamber, anti syphon tank, remote, or a combination of multiples, but not anti syphon to remote combo of course i run my mag off Co2 with a expansion chamber and remote and it works great, good luck finding a cheap mag.

Oh man... that's a pretty good deal. I've been thinking of putting a second mag together.

i just got a used automag with boomstick and for now run it with a remote co2 strait to the valve and it hasen't frozen up yet but i will hopefully get n2 next week, so yeah classic mags and minimags will work fine on co2 as long as you take necessary precautions.
