in paintball magazine there was a small article on the new ule bodies and they said that they had autococker threads. some other online sites said they had angel threads. which is it. and why would htey use these different threads instead of using the sweet *ss mag quarter turn type thingy.

Carnage is correct; cocker threads, angel detents.
Why? This is only my speculation but possibly for 2 reasons.
1). An Automag barrel is much more involved in producing than a simple threaded end of any other barrel (notice how often Mag barrels are $10-15 more?).
2). I notice that the Mag barrel is not as tight a fit as the threaded kind (which makes sense). *Again this is observation only and not proof* If the barrel is looser and when you fire the marker a looser barrel will not give as accurate a shot as the barrel moves more. A threaded barrel allows for a very tight fit and much less movement.
Having said all that, I still like the Mag barrels because they are so much faster to change and my gun is accurate enough to make me satisfied.

They only use Angel threads for the feed tube.

ball detents
ugabiged88, they use Angel detents, it's been discussed a million times on this forum and I own a ULE body, they're Angel threads for the feed tube and ball detent, trust me.
I have been extremely happy since switching my powerfeed to the ULE, it cuts a little weight off it which isn't a huge deal, but I love the feed tube much more, especially getting rid of having to use an elbow with the powerfeed. With Lvl10 the powerfeed is no longer needed and centerfeeds are more balanced. PLUS, you can switch up feed tubes with any other Angel-threaded ones to switch between high rise, low rise, etc.
And twist-lock had its flaws. The quarter-turn thing was cool and all, but most of us would use a squeegie since chopping is not an issue with the Lvl 10, and dealing with nubbins wasn't that great either. It's preference really, but I was happy to make the conversion and don't plan on ever going back.Feedback: http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...hreadid=105565

Just to make it clear: For your barrels they will Autococker barrels, so if it fits an Autococker, it will fit your mag with the ULE body.
The ball detent, the little wart on the side of the body, that has a spring loaded ball so your paint does not roll past the breech, that is threaded for an Angel ball detent. So whatever ball detent fits an Angel, will fit your mag with ULE body. The ULE body comes with one.
The feed neck, it comes with a low rise, some people like high rise or different styles, that can be un-screwed and changed. it is threaded to take Angel feed necks, so whatever feed neck fits an Angel, will fit your mag with ULE body.
So when you get the ULE body, you'll just need an Autococker barrel which you can find anywhere.

Animal Mother
Barrel - Autococker
Detent - Angel
feed neck - Angel
xPx, you would get an Angel detent if you wanted to replace the detent on your ULE body.
