intelliframe micro switch and custom grip job questions

    ok heres what im doing.

instead of wireing my iframe to my hopper im going to be wiring it so that everytime the sear touches the micro switch it blinks a light in the grip. ( customizing my grips ) i do not intend to hurt the frame in any way what so ever

ok i know with what im trying to do i will probably need different parts. now im new to wireing and stuff like that so heres my questions ( if you get what im trying to do )

ok what kind of switch should i use?
and since its not going to my revy how could i get batteries into the grip frame frame and wire them to the switch?
and how and what would i need to wire the lights to the switch and battery?

    any help is greatly appreciated
if any one has done this i would like to see the finished product. if not ill post pics as soon as i get everything i need and onces its done and working and maybe even vids.

and money is not a problem.

thanks ahead of time for anyhelp

could i use the roller swith that agd says to use. then wire it to a battery pack that i would hide in the open spot in the frame along with a router that would split off to 4 led lights?

so basically whats in the directions to wire it to the revy but instead of going to the revy battery i go the one i put in the frame. then take the other wire and put that to the router and then go from there?

You will need to use the roller switch yes. I wouldn't say a battery pack is needed, most simple design would be to use a 9volt if it will fit and just run the wires off that to your LED's. Not alot of help but it'll get you started...

well what i meant by battery pack was i would mount one of those watch or earpeice batteries in the frame to save space.

hmm ear piece batteries would be awesome if you could get them to power the LEDs and if you could get wires running to em.

well i checked out radio shack yesterday and they had battery packs that all you had to do is put a battery in. and then you just had to connect your wires. so if its that easy that should be simple. but my main problem is how to get the lights to blink everytime the switch is touched? and will i need a router to connect the 4 small led lights? my bro is going to check it out with me tonight. but hes wondering the same thing.

does this help a lil more?
sorry if i seam like im not taking you help. but im just trying to ask and point out things that i figure will work.

              thanks

You will need to have a setup like this. Wires running to the LED lights from the battery, you probably can do this in a linear sequence to make it much easier. Then you will want to tape the Roller switch wires into the wires running from the Battery pack to the LED's. But, you'll need to have some type of On and off switch so you can save battery life.

tell me again why you would need an "on-off" switch?

Let's think this through, before you go cutting your rail with a dremel tool...

if you're wiring in a simple loop, battery positive to trigger microswitch to LEDs positive post (wired in parallel) and from LEDs negative post back to the battery... then the LEDs are only gonna be on when you pull the trigger... meaning that they are OFF whenever you're NOT pulling the trigger. LEDs off = no circuit. So, if ya think about it, your microswitch IS your on-off switch. Just put the safety on when you store your gun, and you'll have NOTHING to worry about. :-)

ok i have everything wire and it works great now the problem i have is finding the right screws to mount the switch. my local store only carries metric .50 ( i believe ) any ways there to big for the switch. does any one know the exact size screws i need to mount the sitch in? thanks

I had to use size 40 screws since i couldn't find the ones AGD said to use anywhere. You have to screw them in hard through the roller switch but i think it gives a better hold than the ones AGD says to use.

You should go back to Radio Shack and pick up one of those voice record/playback boards. Then you can have your gun scream "DIE SUCKAZ! DDIIIEEEE!!!" every time you pull the trigger.
