I just purchased a used 48/3k Crossfire tank that I was told was in good condition. The hydro date is not until 2007 so it is a fairly new tank. I had it filled and then I left it in my truck while I went to the movies and so on. When I looked at the tank the next morning it was completly empty. What could be the problem? I couldn't hear it leaking air while it was in the truck or at any time after that. So know I don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have it filled and stick the valve end under water, see what leaks. Could be the regulator where it screws onto the tank, the burst disk bolt, schrader (SP) valve etc.. -
just a thought, but check the burst disk. it may have blown while you were in the movies if the trunk was hot. a friend had a tank blow...he was home and heard it and thought somebody drove by and shot at his house with a 12ga."whoever did that in the bathroom needs to start eating right and go see a doctor" - Tunaman, AOSC 2

It was your burst disk, mine did the same thing (not crossfire though).
Take it to a shop, let them try to fill it so that they can confirm.
Round here it's like $.50 for a new one...

It may be the burst disk or a leaky fill nip. If you can fill it, spray some soapy water on the reg and look for bubbles.Comment

Yeah, I am going to have to take it and have it filled at my local SCUBA shop. That is the only place around here that fills HPA. Once I find out whats wrong with it I will have to take it to a pro shop to have it fixed. I do remember one thing though. The guy who filled it filled it up to 3200 psi and it is a 3000 psi tank. Could this be the reason for it to have discharged so quickly. Thnaks for all your help thus far.It came to a point in my life when it was either pay the rent or buy paintball gear. Not Likely. Most tanks are built for absolutely horrid conditions, such as overfilling. IIRC, The tanks are designed, (And tested at hydro) to handle at least twice the rated pressure.Originally posted by Lakeview Bulldog

When it's filled it usually spikes due to heat, once the tank cools down it will usually drop off a couple hundered psiComment
