Removing on/off bottom on classic valve?

I was wondering how you remove the on/off bottom on my classic valve so I can clean it?

There is a ridge/lip that you can just get your fingernails under, so you can pull it out of the body. If you don't have any fingernails, GENTLY grasp it with needlenose pliars. Make sure you follow the etched graphic on the valve when you put it all back in.

If you take your on/off apart, dont forget to put it back in the right way. Your probably not as stupid as i was so i doubt you would, but it happens
