Difference between RT and RT PRO

How do I tell the difference between an RT (that the ULE body will not fit) and an RT pro (that it will). Im looking to build a mag with ULE body and think the most cost effective way to start is with an RT PRO (and settle for RT valve rather than X valve)

I can't comment on the cost-effective comment, but there are a couple of quick ways.

First, the RT Classic has the shroud over the barrel.

The RT Classic also has a hard gasline running from the foregrip to the valve on the right side. The RT Pro runs a steel-hose straight to the valve. If you compare pictures of the two, you'll see the cosmetic changes.

The RTs body also extends to cover most of the valve too. The valve itself is smaller in diameter, whereas the RT Pro has the same diameter valve as the rest of the mag family. Also different is the sight rail and foregrip mount are made of folded sheet metal on the Pro, whereas they were thicker machined aluminum on the original RT. Some old RTs you will find also have something called a highrise powerfeed in which the powerfeed is at a much different angle and is taller than the powerfeed on an RT Pro. Newer RT Pros also come with an Intelliframe as opposed to the standard single trigger composite stock frame with improved grips found on the old RT and RT Pros.

And as far as cost effective, try getting one with all the parts you want from Tunaman or Roguefactor as opposed to paying extra for parts youre just going to take off eventually.
