    minimag will not fire!

Ok...I am very new to mags and i've done some searches for a similar problem, but I just can't seem to find anything that helps. So here is my problem...I try to gas up my mag with my PMI 68/4500 preset and the bolt acts like its catching on something and goes back. The tank had like 1600psi left in it.

    so here is my setup
minimag with lvlX and RT valve
    center flag hyperframe
    system x on/off

Unfortunately I do not have any spare levelX parts since i got this used. The guy who traded with me says it works fine and a 3rd party service was used to confirm everything.

So what could be wrong? My initial thoughts were the on/off wasn't being screwed in enough so not enough pressure, but that still didn't seem to help. I think I messed up my on/off in the process(long story). Now I think maybe the velocity adjuster might have been too far out. Do you think this may be it. I used up all my air so I'm gonna try to test my hypothesis on it.

Again....assuming the lvlX is broken in and all that, what could be my problem? I feel so dumb that I can't even get such a simple gun to work. Hopefully one of you knowledgable ao'ers can shed some light.

That sounds like a LVL 10 problem. It could be the velocity. Try turning it up a lot. On my level 10 I had to turn it up almost all the way (about 1cm from all the way up) for it to work correctly. If that doesnt work I would look into buying a LVL 10 parts kit or something because it might be that the bolt spring/carrier combination isn't correct, and then re-installing the whole LVL 10 bolt. Good luck, and let me know how it goes.....

yeah....i'll do the velocity adjusting tomorrow and I think I'll also try shooting it with using a regular screw in ASA instead of my on/off kind.

thanks for your help and i'll update with whatever happens

Take off you barrel and try to shoot. If it shoots without the barrel on then the Level 10 is catching on the barrel.

aired up the gun and upped the velocity and it started shooting but there are two problems!

          1. The bolt chops paint cuz the lvlX is not venting. I checked and there are no shims in it. I've ordered some so i'll keep my fingers crossed

          2. When I try to shoot fast with the hyperframe the gun skips shots! I still think this is lvlX problem, but I'm not totally sure. Could there be something up with the on/off pin or is it the lvlX or both?

I'm not to experienced with the intelliframe. the chopping problem may be because of the shims, or the bolt spring.

hopefully it isn't the hyperframe or i may have to sell it and get an intelliframe.

Yeah...so this levelX apparently doesn't vent...right now it has stock spring and no shims. hopefully the shims I ordered will do the trick, but I am very new to this whole lvl 10 thang. I'm gonna give this mag a chance, but if it doensn't work out i may be tempted to go back to an electro

I'm pretty sure those shims should do it, if not, you might have to get the other springs and brass carriers and reinstall it.
