    Level ten, again

Ok, me , roach, and gtrsi are out at the field. Alls good, but i start shooting hot. Oh, okay, its the heat(several burst disks blew on peoples tanks, already) so i chronoed it down, it works good for a game or two. Then, i went to the chrono and is shooting 350, yes, 350 FEET PER SECOND!!! I'm on honest guy and don't play cheap so i try to turn it down but i turned it down so much it wouldnt cycle(when it did cycle, it was still above 300). So, i take it over to where we are sitting, and shoot it with my finger in the breech(level ten). I was retarded and didnt do a sqeege, man did that HURT(pinkie,)
So i put something hard in front of the bolt, and it still won't stop on it. Note: before, it stopped fine, but it was leaking(it was warning me of what was to come). So I tried the smaller spring(pinkie in pain, remember). No luck, no cycling at all. I take it off, put oil everywhere and try it again, with med. spring, and it doesnt work. So daroach tells me to try a different carrier. I try to unscrew the tip and the whole front piece on screws i was like WTF but it was covered in oil so i couldnt get the tip off. Should i *attempt* to get it out and try a different carrier. Tunaman put it in, and I just finished off my first case(last day, and today). Is this the "breaking in" or do is it just my bad luck like usual? No'one there could help cept daroach and he game me a wrench. I'm stumped, what to do? I was pissed. I only got to play 3 or 4 games. Help?

if it is not cycleing then it is your bad luck

i would say get your mid spring and cut a little off and make it shorter then your smaller spring so you can have you gun cycle then.

i first try to go up a half carieer (if it was not already leaking) and crono that to see where it is at.

I know absolutly nothing about mags or their schematics, but I recommend calling AGD. Is your tank's output still the same?

                      1. You need something a lot thicker than your pinky to test, your pinkie's too thin. Use a thicker finger'n and you won't get it chopped off
                      2. What's your setup? Having too tight of a carrier will cause this problem, try going up a size... (like they've said) and if you have too many shims your Level 10 could ve venting early (and not returning)... It should vent about midway (and return if anything stops it before then)
                      3. Are you running co2 into it? IF so that's the reason your velocity hopped up, nothin else.

Its nitrogen. And i tried a thick stick(thick as my thumb) and it pushed it forward. So i'm scared to stick my finger in there now. I don't know how many shims or what carrier tuna put in. How do you tell what carrier?

Sorry I missed that you're using N2... I can't understand a hopup like that, I've gone from 270 to 290 by switching paint (or having swelling paint) but that's pretty bad!

You can tell carrier size by removing the carrier from the powertube and examining it's outer surface. Each ring indicates a carrier size, and the dots indicate half sizes. So one ring + dots = 1.5 carrier.

It was EXTREMELY hott out(texas) and like i said a few burst disks blew. The first game it was hott and i turned it down, and it just got hotter and hotter(velocity). I wasn't shooting paintballs. I was shooting death pellets(by accident) luckly i only played one game with it that fast, and noone got shot.

I dont think temp affects compressed air that much, then again I could be wrong.

I play in southern Ca, temps up in the hundreds about right now, and I've never had problems with an N2 tank, Co2 tanks sometimes though!

                              *Edit* what are death pellets?
