    Level X bumper question

I was cleaning out my RT Pro when I noticed my bolt bumper was all chewed up.

I saw somewhere on this forum that the bumper gets chewed up because it is not sticking to the valve??? One guy said that he fixed the problem by putting grease on the bumper???

This is the forum for trouble shooting your Airgun Designs products, including the Automag, RT, E-Mag, and WarpFeed. Also a great place to ask technical questions about non AGD products. An Airsmith's homeroom!

I was also wondering...i've seen some blue bumpers and some clear ones. Whats the difference...any pros/cons??? I could only find the Level 7 bumpers, so will it fit a Level X valve???

    Thanx

Miy LX E-Mag chews up bumpers at an alarming (and expensive!) rate. I use the E-Mag/ReTro valve bumpers. They are softer, and absorb the impact (just like they're supposed to)

I have used blue bumpers, but the extra "jolt" is noticable...the blues will last indefinitely, though, but I worried about extra wear & tear on my gun.

I buy a whole bunch of ReTro bumpers at a time (@ $2 each ) and change them after almost every "full" day of PB'ing.

BTW, I grease them, as BlackVCG has suggested.

I now use IC2000 Instant Adhesive, which has some rubber additives to make it slightly flexible, to hold down my RT valve bumpers. Just a few dabs of it on the back of the bumper and it glues the bumper to the valve and I still haven't replaced one yet.

If you use a grease that is sticky/tacky enough, it will work fine.
