Welcome back to the great sport of paintball and in particular the AO Forum. It's the best place for paintball information. Anyway in response to your questions:
I think you probably want a preset screw in tank to start. There are several reasonably priced tanks in this range. A 68 CI/3000PSI tank is a probably sufficient for what your going to be using your marker for. Look at Crossfire or PMI if you want a reliable tank for not a lot of money.
If you have more money to spend look at an adjustable such as AGD's flatline system. It's a good tank and I'm sure if you search the forum you'll find a lot of positive comments about it.
I don't think this much advantage to you getting a 4500 PSI tank. They're going to cost more and you're just getting more shot out of a fill. It really depends on how you play and how much you shot during a day of play.
Hope this helps

Unfortunately, I do not have any experience with these systems. Unless you have a ReTro Valve, I would not see any benifit in getting an adjustable air system. I currently have a Crossfire 88/3000 Preset, that I have been happy with. When I get my ReTro I will also be upgrading to an AGD Flatline.Whats everyones opinion on the smart parts maxflow systems or the apocolypse??
I have heard that the MaxFlow is hella expensive, and I know NOTHING about the Apoc - Sorry.
Like I stated earlier, unless you have a ReTro Valve and need to be able to adjust the input pressure, you would be spending too much on an air system if you buy adjustable. My reccomendation: Crossfire or PMI preset tanks. Good quality, decent flow rate, and unbeatable price. Very nice combo.
PS - Nothing feels better than blowing a paycheck on your baby!

The max-flo and apocolypse are both good systems but are pretty expensive. I would do what other have suggested and start of with a good preset tank like the ones they have suggested. If you have that much cash to burn there are other upgrades that will serve you better right now. The new intelliframe is a nice one. I assume you already have a good motorized hopper. And I'd suggest a shorter barrel. I mean Good God! An 18" barrel? You polevault over the bunkers when you go after somebody? I'd suggest a 12" max and you might not hit so mant trees when you play

Yes, the presets normally screw right in like a co2 tank. They are bigger though so I would suggest some kind of drop forward for screw in tanks to take the weight and bulkiness off the back of the gun. PMI makes a really nice screw-in tank drop.
Also the intelliframe is an aftermarket 45 double trigger frame that has the nice light, short trigger pull of the stock frame. It comes with some nice Dye grips and a milled spot inside the frame to attach a few dollars in Radio Shack parts. When hooked up right the hopper paddles will spin every time you pull the trigger and feed the balls reliably (called intellifeed). Very sweet.Comment

i have a PMI Pure Energy sys. & an AGD Flat line as well, both being 68c.i.. This is a decent size as they are not to big but last 2-3 games, depending on how long i'm in the games. I would also recommend a shorter barrel, esp. if your using Smart Parts barrels as they eat a lot of gas. I would recommend a 12 or 14 in., or if money isnt a factor go with a total freak system and buy an extra tip (front section). Remember that the automag barrels are 1.5 in. longer than normal barrels so a 10 in. barrel is actually 11.5. I recommend a 10 & a 12. Hope this helps.Comment

ok thanks for all the help you guys are great. I'm gonna look into a new barrel and tank after thanksgiving. Do these PMI tanks use n2 and compressed air??? cause most of the fields near me have either one or the other. is there any adjustments i would need to do?? I need to play again soon. I've been going to school full time, and thanksgiving time in the movie theatre(where i work)is basically a full time job. which leaves me no time for pballin
i'm going through withdrawl!!!

Nitrogen and Compressed air are functionally the same thing. Either will work your tank.Comment
