Great thread. I am currently waiting (not so patiently) for my stuff to get in from AGD, this will be my first Mag, built from the ground up. Your thread will definately be referenced again.

Blue loctite is not your friend for phnumatic fittings. You want some other type of loctite I forget what its called, but it is a phnumatic line sealent, not a thread lockers. It is actually made for this application, and will not screw up your threads or be a PITA to get off like red loctite can. This is probably what AGD uses, not red loctite.

Blue has always worked for me plus its pretty easy to find at places like wally world. AGD uses some kind of Red stuff that is a major PITA to get the bound parts apart from....

I haven't read all of your posts yet but the first and second ones are pretty good. A note about teflon tape, if you do use it, wrap it in the direction that the threads run on the fitting. Didn't see that mentioned and it will make a diffence in how well it works or doesn't! Good reference thread tho, I'll be back to read the rest when I have more time

Also another comment on teflon tape, I have used it since I started playing and if used properly its just as good as blue loctite I have never had anything go down due to teflon tape in the marker somewhere

                  Very True,
I reall made this thread for the new guys. Sure you can use teflon tape, however next time you are at your local shop as the airsmith how many guns he has to fix due to improper use of the teflon tape.

I guess the flipside is that it is certianly possible to abuse the locktite.

Yup, there are a lot of people out there that just dont have the know how to use it well enough. My friend had his fittings on with SO much teflon tape it was horrible, I had to clean out his valve and everything.

I usually have enough teflon tape on to go about once around the fitting and it is enough for me. I use blue loctite here and there as well.

I am not an expert on the rentels but I thought they had a non removable PT? I cant think of an other reason why there would be an issue with the lvlX.

Maybe it might be a good idea to post in the tech forum. Sorry man I am little help to ya.
