URGENT: Gas Consumption and my E-Mag

I had my tank filled to 3000 PSI and I've put about 300-400 shots through it and now its down to 1200 psi. I have the output pressure set at 800 psi.

How many more shots do I have?

I also am trying to find out if I have level 10. I put a pencil in the feed tube and fired. It did not break the pencil but it looked like it indented it. Do I have Level 10?

    Thanks

Hard to tell. Everybody's mileage is different.

Honestly, it sounds like you have a leak if you're down to 1200 after only 300-400 shots.

Put the tank reg in a sink of water and look for air bubbles.

I don't think so because I've had the gun gassed up all day and all night and it still hasn't went down. Now that I look at it its actually at like 1500.

        what size tank is it?

and were you dry firing or shooting with paint? you will get alot more shots with paint than without.

and how fast was the tank filled, you probably only started off with 2500 psi after the tank cooled.
Sadly the mag is gone, moved on to an LCD Trix

well if it made a hissing sound as the bolt resets when you stuck the pencil in it then you have a level 10.

Don't you mean a 'CHUFF CHUFF' sound?

Anyways, There MAY be a leak. You could try putting some soap around the neck of the tank and put it in a bath tub, if it blows bubbles then you have a leak. But I think it's what speeddemon said.

"If a Level 10 activates in the forest and with no one around, does it go 'CHUFF CHUFF'?"

That amount of air usage is not out of whack, especially if the fill was not a complete 3000psi(a hot 3000 can sometimes cool to 2700 or 2800psi). Depending on the level 10 setup, the barrel length, and barrel id compared to the paint, the efficiency could vary as well.

Allowing that you started with 2800psi, the average mag would shoot about 400 to 500 shots to get to 1500 psi. The efficiency of course changes from gun to gun depending on the setup. Also, do the 300 - 400 shots include any dry firing or venting/leaking during the gun set-up stage?
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
