    Emag powered by Revolution?

I was taking apart my Emag the other when I got to the battery pack itself. That thing is pretty heaving on it's own, and probably accounts for a lot of the weight on an Emag. The battery pack seems to weigh almost a pound, not sure since I don't have a scale to weigh it with. I remember a long ways back before EMags came out that they were to make it accept 9v batteries or at least have the capability of running off of 2 9v's. So, I was thinking you could hook up a wire from your revvy and run the Emag off of the revvy batteries and do away with the big honking battery pack. Sorta like Intellifeed, maybe call it, Intellipower? Any thoughts?

No can do. 9v batteries do not supply the current needed for the solenoid.

You can go the other way around though- you can power the revvy with the Emag battery.

Would hooking up 9v's in parallel increase amperage?

Yes they would. Not enought to power the emag though.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
