I bought a brand spankin new Emag this summer. It worked GREAT up until a tourney I played in this past September. It was really quite cold (warmest it got was about 25 degrees F) and my Emag started acting up. The trigger rod has all sorts of play in it and prevents my marker from firing at times when in E mode because it is actually in the arch in the top-back of the trigger. Also, there are times when in E mode the gun will not fire at all, and I have to throw it in Hybrid to pull the trigger rod back fully, then I can switch it back to E again and shoot. Could this have been because of the cold? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

I think the first thing you need to do is make sure the gun is oiled with a good quality paintball gun oil. Also, have you by chance replaced the black on/off top o-ring with a urethane one out of an RT parts kit?
If so, that will explain why the gun sticks in E-Mode and you need to pull it in mechanical mode to get it to be able to fire in E-Mode again. The problem is the on/off pin will catch at the casting mark on the standard urethane o-rings. You need the black quad o-ring to insure it doesn't stick in E-Mode. If it does have a clear/yellowish urethane o-ring, call AGD and order some black quad o-rings and that will fix your problem. If not, make sure it's well oiled. -
I use PMI paintgun oil. I oil it after every weekend of play with it. I also have not replaced any o-rings in the on/off. The only ring I replaced was in the reg. I'm puzzled by this very strange behavior, especially with the trigger rod getting stuck in the top/back of the trigger.

It's possible (allthough unlikely) that the trigger rod has turned, due to vibration. There could be paint goo or perhaps some grease on the sear pivot that's making the sear stick. Make sure it's clean. You could try a lighter oil, like Gold Cup. The cold may be making the PMI oil a bit too thick. Good Luck
