    consistency issues

Well, my classic mag (with nitrogen, not co2) wasn't very consistent over the chrono, so I replaced the reg seat, and yes I made sure it was clean. And it still isn't consistent (about +- 10). Now the one thing I could think of was that my valve halves never stay lined up, they back themselves apart some. So whenever I take it apart, I just tighten it up so the valve lines up. Could that be screwing up the reg seat somehow?

Im not too concerned because Im ordering an x-valve tommorow, but it drives me nuts that I don't know why, and maybe it would still happen with the x-valve.

    Anyone?
Sadly the mag is gone, moved on to an LCD Trix

im sure that your x-valve will be fine consistancy wise after the initial break in period the other parts of your gun shouldnt affect consistancy.

some issues that cause inconsistancy are: bad paint; poor match with barrel to paint; and the gun may need to be oiled(make sure no oil goes into the barrel by removing it and shooting about 20 times)
