    RT Problem

    Hey all,

I have developed a problem with my RT (Not Pro.) This weekend at our practice my RT was shooting very inconsistently, at the time I chalked it up to the crappy paint we were using, I had to go with the largest bore size on the Pipe and it was kind of hot out so I figured the balls were swelling some and might be sticking together which was causing the lvl 10 to pinch on balls coming into the chamber. So used my back up for the rest of practice. But when we were done and I was cleaning up everything I tried out the RT again, and it was still having the same problem firing no paint.

From looking into the powerfeed, I would fire and the bolt would go forward like normal, but when it went to reset it would go too far and have to come back forward a bit to get to its normal spot, which would stop me from firing fast like it usually does. When I was trying to dryfire rapidly it acted like there was something stuck in there and the bolt was pinching on it so it wouldn't fire, so I'd have to stop pulling the trigger and let it reset before it would fire again.

The Lvl 10 stuff in there in case any of you need to know that might be able to help me are:
    medium spring
    1.5 carrier
    2 shims

I tried taking a shim out just to see and it still does the same thing. I was very limited on air so wasn't able to try a lot of different things before posting. Basically wanted to see if anybody might have some suggestions for me to try out after I get some air tomorrow. This marker has performed rather well for a long time so this kind of comes as a surprise to me.

    Thanks in advance,
    Jeremy

Check the condition of the bumper behind the bolt.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I got air to try out some stuff. Basically wiped everything down and re-oiled. The bolt seems to be working properly now, not sure what the deal was. I did notice that it wouldn't fire at first after it sat aired up for a bit, I had to pull the trigger a few times to get it to fire, then it was fine. I think I remember reading something about that on here, so gonna search around for that and see if I can correct that problem.
Hopefully I can have it up and running properly for our last tournament at Stalker this weekend.

      Thanks again all,
      Jeremy

prolly needed oil. you might be able to go up a carrier size to also prevent this some.
