I'm trying to unscrew the LPC off my cocker so I can take off the reg and clean everything, becasue its really dirty, but I cant because the LPC wont budge. I took off the 3 way and ram with no problem, but I had to take off the barbs first. I cant take the barb off the LPR because its too close to the LPC and its hitting it. Ive tried to heat the threads of the LPC as much as I could with a lighter (hell I was sitting there like 5 mins just heating it up) and it still wont budge, so I dont think its loctited on, and its starting to strip the screw. It wont really grip the wrench anymore. Im getting kind of worried, I really dont care if I destroy the LPC in the process of taking it off, I'll just replace it with a screw, its no big deal. I think its an ANS LPR... will someone help me with this? I have really bad luck with stripped screws.
LPC on cocker doesnt want to come off... its getting stripped..

what kind of wrench are you using? a closed end wrench shouldn't be stripping it like that.
after heating that much, you will more than likely have to rebiuld it now anyway. all the rubber seals will have melted.

like a normal box-end wrench. I assume you are trying to remove the LPR off the front block right?
there are soft parts in the reg like o-rings and seals. those will be damaged by alot of heat. if they are melted or warped, the reg will not perform correctly. ANS provides a rebiuld kit with the reg, or you can buy one.

no
LPC = low pressure chamber
Its ans' POS replacement for the front block screw. I have heated the reg to see if it would maybe loosen up a bit as well but it wont come off without the LPC to come out.. I sure hope I diddnt screw over my reg while I was heating up the LPC...

ahh.......ok.......I ddin't read it close enough.........ya, it shouldn't hurt your LPR trying to get the LPC off.
if the allen head is stripping.....the only thing I can think of is to put a vise grip around it. it will chew it up though. why not just use a squirt bottle full of soapy water and not remove all the parts?
