Help me on my X-Mag please

    Hi guys,

I was shooting my X-Mag yesturday, I believe it have 2.24 software inside.

First problem: In ACE 01 and 02, the gun won't shoot in E mode. It works in both hybrid and Manual thought.

Second problem: When I turn it on, it doesn't work in E mode the first time, I have to switch in M mode (hybrid), shoot once and turn to E mode and it shoots fine. Sometime, it doesn't work in E mode after a quick string of shots. I have to switch back for a shot (M mode), then switch back to E mode.

Can someone help me on that?

Maybe try to adjust the ACE sensitivity?

I'll play with the ACE sensitivity ajustment screw, thanks.

that solve my first problem. Anyone can help me with that issue?

Concerning the second problem, I had a similar problem when I first got mine also. It turned out the screw for the rod behind the trigger (sorry, still learning mag terms) was not adjusted to the proper length and this was also causing the assembly for the solenoid to stick at times. Brad AGD fixed it up for me though

Thanks a lot. Concerning the trigger rod, I don't think I'll adjust it myself. Don't want to screw things up.

No, I did not want to either. It has to be measured pretty darn accurately! Like I said, BradAGD adjusted mine and he said he could tell that it was adjusted from the original factory position. I bought mine used and the guy used it in a tournament, so I believe he adjusted it so that he would not be eliminated for bounce and such. It works real sweet now though I am not even that fast on the trigger and it will rip off some strings!

The question is- are you trying to shoot the gun w/o paint in ACE1 and 2? Cuz if it's not shooting, then the ACE is doing its job. It's not SUPPOSED to shoot if there's no paint in ACE 1 & 2. The reason it works in Hybrid and Manual is b/c you are pushing on the trigger rod and manually moving the sear, thereby overriding the ACE. See?

As for the second problem, it sounds like a little bolt sticking. Are you running oil through the gun every use?

That, I understand how the ACE works. But it wasn't shooting in ACE 01 and 02 with or without paint. I guess the screw wasn't adjusted. As for problem #2 I'll put some oil in the macroline.

I realised that my Evlution was sticking out too high for my taste. Is there any drawbacks if I cut down the neck of my loader by half an inch?

Your second issue is a common one that is strictly related to Level 10. What's happening is the carrier o-ring builds up too much static friction and the bolt won't be able to go forward far enough to fire normally.

Increase the size of the carrier in the Power Tube by one half size. Be sure to use the SAME o-ring that was already in your PT in the new carrier. If it leaks, get a new o-ring and try that. You can test fit it to the bolt stem before you put it in the valve to check the fit of the o-ring/carrier combination. If it's too tight, you'll be able to feel it by sliding the carrier back and forth on the bolt stem. When it's fully assembled, you should be able to slide the bolt back and forth on the PT and barely feel the friction from the o-ring. The looser it is without leaking the better. If you get a good loose fit, you won't have problems with the first shot not shooting.
