anyone have a tricked out trigger???
i want to up grade trigger, and i already have an intelliframe, and i already know about the ULT. does anyone have a really cool trigger where you can pull off a really high ROF on a mechanical mag??? becousei have a movie of a mechanical mag with a spring kit on the trigger, and that looks really cool but i dont knw how to get one for me.Tags: None -
and also is there any way i can get a trigger block or something to make the trigger pull less of a pull. -
only way to cut some slack out of the trigger pull is to drill a hole in the trigger and mount a set screw that will let you adjust the rear slack out of the pull:headbang: :headbang: :headbang: Metal kids have more fun!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Ok, first drill a hole in the middle of the first finger groove on the trigger (on the side you put your finger on). Then tap the hole with the corresponding thread size. then go to the local hardware store and find an allen-keyed set-screw that fits your threads, try to get a longer one. Now screw it in and adjust it until the stop engages right after the gun cycles. Now mark that point on the screw and cut the screw down until it rests flush on the trigger at the setting you marked, and dont be retarded and cut off the end that has the allen-key hole(people have done that). I used loc-tite to prevent it from coming out of adjustment. Now you have an adjustable tigger stop without putting holes in your beautiful i-frame.:headbang: :headbang: :headbang: Metal kids have more fun!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

FWIW, my backup marker is a LX minimag, X-valve, intelliframe, and ULT on/off assy.
When I installed the ULT (w/ 3 ULT shims...all very simple to do), I also shimmed the side-to-side play out of the trigger using some 1/8" ID X 3/16" OD X .004" thick shims that you can get from MSCDirect.com (a simple and easy mod that BlackVCG performed on his Emag; but also worked perfectly on my minimag, as well as my Emag. See: http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...threadid=83104).
I've actually practiced several times with the new setup. I read somewhere in this forum that the ULT can improve your ROF by up to 30%. I am totally impressed by my higher ROF with these simple modifications to an all mechanical marker! The trigger pull in much lighter, but there is still plenty of reactivity to the trigger.
Last weekend, I played with the backup gun for the first time since installing the mods. One word: unbelievable!!! After the first game, there were several other players approaching me to check out what I was shooting. One veteran player even asked if I was shooting in full auto! That's how fast this gun really is now! Is it as fast as my Emag...no. But, it's right up there! With my Emag, I can "walk" the trigger. With the Minimag, it more of a "fanning" of the trigger. If I attempt to "walk" the minimag, it just short strokes. It takes a totally different type of finger action, but with practice, you're ROF will no doubt be much improved over your current setup.
If you're looking for faster ROF, drop the $50 for the ULT and you'll definitely be shooting faster!
Hope that helps...

would it work if i made the sear longer, and drilled a hole in my intelliframe so the sear would come out in the bottem of the double trigger, so it would cut down teh lenghth in half???Comment

dude if changing the sear or anything like that actually worked, it'd have been done already
but once you drop in the ult,
either by putting a trigger stop in the trigger itself, or into the trigger frame
you can shorten the trigger pull immenselyTheDuelist "The problem is that Tom has developed the VW Beetle of the paintball industry. It's almost too good to change and far too reliable."Comment
