Hey guys, I'm a new automag owner and new to the forum. The reason I came here is because I have a problem with my "new" gun and I'm pretty sure that someone here will be able to help me out. I just bought a used custom 68 classic and it looks great, its colored red white and blue, and its got a crazy anodized barrel, sightrail, and a front grip. I wish I had a digital camera so you could check it out. But anyway, the problem that I'm having is when I screw in my co2 tank, gas starts venting out of the hole in the back of the gun, and it seems like its coming out pretty fast because its pretty loud. Initially I screwed in the tank and once it was fully in the air started shooting out the back. Then after about a minute the leak gradually slowed and then stopped as far as I could tell. When I went to pull the trigger for a test shot the leak started up full force. I didn't get a chance to see how far the paint went because I was taken by surprise with the sudden outburst of co2. When I asked the former owner about it he said he had just replaced an o-ring before he sold it to me and said it shouldn't be happening. He also told me that it was probably due to dirty co2, and he suggested screwing off the back of the gun, taking it out, wiping it down, and then greasing it up and putting it back in. I assume he meant I should take out the a.i.r. valve and wipe off any dust that accumulated there? That's my next move, but I figured its best to consult the experts before I do something that I'll regret. I wouldn't have thought that dirty co2 could cause a leak in a gun. At most I would expect it to just mess with the air flow and cause me to shoot really short. If someone could explain how dirty co2 causes a leak that'd be great, but most importantly I'd just like to know how to fix it. If anyone has had a similar problem I'd love to hear how you solved it, and if any of you more experienced guys out there know whats plaguing my gun just by listening to what I described, please gimmie a shout. Thanks alot--- Later

Yea, you guys are absolutely right. I just lowered the velocity and everything's going great. And oh my god is this gun sick. My friends are dead. Thanks a million. I need to call up AGD and get a copy of the video and the manual so I wouldn't make such basic mistakes for the future tho. Thanks again.Comment
