    help setting up lvl 10

o have several question that i cannot find the answer anywhere.

If using 2 or 3 shims are both fine, which one to use ?

my marker now will using a short spring, i don't know if it is original main spring or one of the springs included in lvl 10 since i bought it used.
so i have carrier with 2 grove installed (2 grove and a dot will leak) withouht any shims and there's no leak.
i threw in 2 shims , still using the short spring it was just fine will shoot without bolt stick.
when i change the spring to the longest one, i turned the velocity up but it won't work reliably and i can't turn it up no more since it would leak.
is there anyway i can use the longest spring? or i have to live with what i got now ?

    thanks in advance

Use the middle/cut/red spring (depending on when the kit was made). It'll be softer than the short spring, but more reliable than the long one.

There should be 2 silver colored springs and one gold. One of them may have a coil cut off the end of it. That's the mid spring. (It goes cut side towards the bolt)

The gold spring is the most reliable and efficient spring to use. I have an 18V Warp setup on my E-Mag and I use the gold spring because I never have feed issues that might make it pinch. It's still soft enough that it doesn't break paint by fracturing the next ball inline.

If you have a good feeding setup and you rarely, if never, have a misfeed that would cause the bolt to pinch, I would use the gold spring.

The longest spring that is gray and does not have any cut coils, is the softest spring and is unreliable on some guns and only good for 290fps and up on guns it will work on.

It really depends on your carrier fit whether the longest spring will work. If the carrier is too tight, you'll have problems using the long spring. I would go with the middle spring if you have instances where you might pinch a ball because your feed system doesn't keep up.
