    Ball Feeding Problems

Ok, so about 4 months ago I purchased a used classic mag. I've only had problems so far (first the velocity wouldnt work, then the palmer stabalizer wouldnt work, then the trigger rod was messed with) Well it seems I finally got all the kinks worked out of it, but I've been having feeding problems. Whenever I shoot really fast, up to 4 balls go into the barrel. I have a lvl 10, armson 16 inch, power feed, Benchmark Double Finger. What could be the problem?

Check your ball detent or nubbin. If its a twist lock barel it should be held by the barel o-rings.

Could a nubbin be wore down?

make sure your nubbins are there and positioned to keep paint from rolling forward.

if that is not the issue, then you are just short stroking it and loading multiple balls.

Get some of the plastic detent nubbins from the AGD Online Store if you don't already have them. They last much longer and work much better.

Also, which PF plug do you have? The newest PF plug from AGD feeds much faster and more reliable than the older design. It has a smooth curved surface instead of a flat spot at the bottom of the curve and it has two set screws in the handle to adjust the depth of the plug.

There's a thread at the top of this forum (Tech Forum) that details the differences between the older style plug and the new parabolic PF plug.

I have the new PF plug. It must be that I'm short stroking I guess. Kinda sucks that it happens.

tune the LX bolt, it wont keep you from short stroking it, but it shouldn't load paint on a short stroke either.
