OK i took my new x valve out yesterday and it was sweet the only thing that went wrong was that it would shut down every once in a while I would have to take the tank off then it would be fine. What would cause it to do that?

Maybe bolt stick? Hard to tell from your description but put a few drops of oil down the powertube tip. If that doesn't help try the next larger carrier. If it was bolt stick one of those should fix it. Have you chrono'd it? Level X requires a little more pressure and turning the velocity up (not an option if you're shooting the limit
) may help too!
