    lvl 10

alright, i read throught most of the lvl 10 faq, and nothing, so ill ask. Sorry if this was asked before or something.

    Problem :

When the bolt stops on a ball, the bolt resets but i cant shoot till I take the tank off and put it back on. I was reading somewhere that the lvl 10 should actually bounce off the ball, return and ready itself. Is there something that i should do?

I took the valve out and oiled it along with the bolt but i couldnt get it to do it again (i couldnt get it to stop on a ball) because i ran outta air.

Thanks, if you need more info ill try to be more specific.

I just installed a lvl 10 last night for the first time so I'm a rookie too, but according to the instructions if it won't reset after a bounce, then you need to add shims. I don't know how many, but try that...

First. Oil the snots out of it and shoot a couple of tanks through it to break in the carrier oring.

Problem still there? go to a longer spring. If the marker still fires and now resets all is good.

Dont fire now? go to what ever spring that was in there before and go up one size on the carrier.

ALWAYS oil your LX AND a couple drops in the ASA every time you play. LXs LOVE oil

It sounds like you are experiencing bolt stick. Have you tried going to a carrier that is the next size larger? You may also want to use a lighter/shorter bolt spring until the carrier o-ring is fully broken in.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

its not bolt stick. When it bounces off a ball, the bolt will go back to a neutral spot, then the trigger wont have any pressure (i dunno how to explain it). Its like the tank is empty... im goona go out and unload a few hoppers and see if it still does it now...

also, when you oil the lx, you throw some oil in the PT and in that little rod that stick out of the bottom of the bolt right?

i always oiled the pt on my other valve so im doing it the same way with this one...

That's what bolt stick is. Although the bolt is going back after it fires or vents, the bolt isn't completely reset and it prevents the sear from latching. This in turn prevents the on/off pin from pushing the trigger rod forward. Its all related.
