    RT Double and Tripple Loads

I got to use my automag RT for the first time yesterday. The only problem I really had was chopping paint and double and tripple loading.

I put in the lvl 10 today and that should help with chopping.

What causes these to double and tripple load?

do you have nubbins on your barrel? if it is an aftermarket barrel, alot of those dont come with them installed. if they are installed, are they metal or plastic ones? if they are metal ones, you may need to bend them in very slightly to offer more resistance to the ball.

also, what hopper are you using, I have that trouble once and a while with my halo if I am using smallish paint.

I was actually using a DYE boomstick off of a RT Pro. It looked like they were compatible so I put it on and it fit just fine. I think I may have read somewhere now that they aren't compatible and maybe this is why?

no, the barrel for an RT and RT pro are the same. as long as both of the guns are either powerfeed or centerfeed. (the fact that you can shoot paint would tell me that they are both the same)

I would look at the nubbins and make sure they are in good shape. that is the only thing that would cause multiple feeding.

Actually looking at that piece it's apparently broken off right there. I suppose that explains it completely. There was barely the end of the broken off piece sticking out about a millimeter or less which would occationally stop a ball.

I can take the one off the stock barrel I have doing nothing now, but is it worth the time and effort to buy the plastic ones?

I replaced mine all with plastic ones. they last alot longer, dont rust, dont bend. plus you dont have to adjust them.

if you take your barrel off, it is the detent (either wire or plastic) that keeps you from loading more than one ball at a time.
