    Total Confusion

OK, here's the problem. I just realized tonight that the ULT I need to get to get my elcd to run isn't going to fit in my RT Pro because it is the old stainless valve. This brings in an all new problem. I could buy an X-valve and it would work just fine... but $$$

Here's the thing: What I really want is a gun as light as possible that will fit and run my elcd and not break paint.

    I can:

Sell my RT Pro for $300
Avoid buying the X-valve for $225
    Return the ULT for $50
Not have to buy the ULE body for $150
Then have to buy a new barrel to fit it for $75

    Total would be $800

Instead, I can buy a brand new emag. I thought I heard somewhere that those are comeing with x-valves in them now.

    Hostage: What is you're "i-mag".

If you can stand being without a gun for a weekend or so, I know that there's a tech that's milling the SS retro valves to accept the ULT. And it's cheaper than buying/selling all that stuff.

I think it was BradAGD. Drop him a PM and ask.

After sleeping on it, I don't have any problems shelling out the money if it will give me this...

Building the RT Pro this way should make the marker lighter than just buying an emag. Right?

Since I'm going to use the elcd anyway, 1/2 of the reason to buy an emag is being taken off the gun anyway. Right?

I've considered buying some other gun like an Impulse or something that would cost $800 and probably be lighter than this setup, but No way am I going to get the same rugged design and reliability like I will out of the RT. Right?

the x-valve should be lighter than the standard RT Pro stainless valve... how much lighter I wonder.

I guess if I get everything built up and hate it, I can always sell it. Heck who wouldn't want a good deal on a ULE body and x-valve. You can't find those on ebay very often.

Oh well... I'll shell out the monay (see www.oddtodd.com if you haven't. Funny as Hell!) and see what comes of it. It should be nice.

I thought RT pro valve had the two o-ring setup and the ULT would work???

I guess the earlier ones are stainless and only have the one o-ring. Mine only has the one o-ring.
