I have another Question. Mags in Competition.

As i stated just earlier today i just bought a used minimag. I bought it figuring that i would get the X-Valve and some other mods and that after that it would be competitive at local tourney. After reading some post though i am afraid that this is not going to be true. So my question is, can modified mags still be competitive in todays world of electronic markers? I mean i figure that they could be because they are accurate and whether your gun can fire 30 bps or not is kinda irrelevant if your finger can't move that fast. Anyway sorry i rambled back to the question...can modified mags still be competitive in todays world of electronic markers?
    Thanx

Yes They can. I use a level 10 mag in tournys. It has a stock level 7 valve in it. soon i will be adding a x valve to it. the level 10 was a great addition to this marker.it is also has a Z grip and a warp set up. i play back for my team and am able to throw plenty of paint.

i have a classic valve with LX, intelliframe, and warp, and i can get the paint out pretty quick. not as fast as angels and emags and trixes, but it saves money when ur not shootin 15bps. also, when ur not shooting a million bps, you learn that every ball counts, not just to line the side of a bunker.
Yummy yummy yummy, I've got fun in my tummy.

A minimag is very competitive, especially with an X-valve. I used to hold my own with a stock level 7 against electros. The Xvalve makes that even easier.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

My team took 1st in a 3 man rookie tourney out of 22 teams, all three of us with mechanical mags. I have an emag, but my dumb *** drained the battery the night before so i had to play mechanical. Its all about the players. Some of it is in having a reliable gun that doesnt chop paint, but i think that level 10 mags certainly qualify there.

              FOR SURE !!!

I have used a pf mag with a level 7 valve/(and bolt),intelliframe, ricochet loader,14" smart parts progressive, and my screw in tank for a while now.I play mid field and this set up suprised the hell out of me (and soon to be painted players). The gun was light very accurate at distance with a good rof. I have honestly chopped 5-6 balls in over god knows how many cases.I can only hit about 6-8 bps but the consistancy of shots more than makes up for it.I also have a 2k autococker, and a 2k3 angel lcd,but 90% of the time I carry my mag.I like to try out new guns it's a sickness I guess ,and I'm not saying that my mag smokes these 2,but I am more comfortable and perform in tournaments much better with my mag.Newbies and posers look down on a drab plain looking mag,but experienced players know to watch out,and usually give respect to a plyer willing to put comfort and function over what is the latest neon colored trend.

are you gonna be at the MXS game in Tucson? I'm thinking about putting a warp feed on my mag, would just like to see one in person first though.

                  mag

                  I have 2 tourney mags both mini's
z frame ule warp body ult triggerx valve w/ level x warp w/ego 2 it is not as fast as some of the electro guns but if you leave a foot or a hopper its hit
the second is a mini power feed right hyper frame warp w/ ego 2 dye boomy and when i want more speed i play with that one and it will keep up with almost anything and with the same accuracy. if you practice enough with it no can stop you.
