x-mag leaking / not firing correctly

    hey guys

this weekend at the last game of the tournament my x-mag begon leaking down the barrel.
Not that bad i tought just changing the carrier and it's fixed. not at all ! I pushed against the bolt and the sound changed .
I opend the power tube and changed the carrier to 1 size smaller (same o-ring ) and putted it back together.

Now it doesn't leak anymore but sometimes the valve moves only very slowly . and the after 2 times i begins to shoot well but after 5 times you hear air escaping and it all begins again.

I have 2 shims in it ( like it was original )

any ideas where I have to look ?

(I know it sound like a too small carrier but if I take the larger one it starts leaking again.)

problem solved !!! after putting the velocity way up and shooting 100 times it's resolved.

maybe it just needed a break-in

    thanks anyway

You may want to remove a shim as well. If the bolt vent hole was on the edge of the o-ring it may have leaked until you tightened the o-ring via the carrier. The tighter carrier could have caused the bolt stick you mentioned. It may not be a problem once the o-ring gets totally broken, though you may experience leakage again once the o-ring seats itself if the shim was the culprit.

Edit: It didn't sound right so I changed some wording to make more sense.

Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

        Oh, thanks

I 'll keep that in mind if it starts leaking again.
but for the moment i'm going to try this setup.

        Chuff Chuff !
